About Us

Our course has a long history; the Club began in 1912 as a recreational area for management and employees of the Curtis Publishing Company. For over ninety (90) years, this has been a private club for member-only use. While our facilities are primarily dedicated for member use, our newly renovated meeting and banquet facilities are now available to the public.

The hallmark of the JC Melrose Country Club is, of course, our picturesque greens. Designed by Alistar MacKenzie and Perry Maxwell in 1927, the course features narrow fairways, undulating greens and gentle doglegs that epitomize the true meaning of the phrase "Target Golf." We do not have lofty membership dues nor do we charge any assessments. Other benefits of membership include unlimited greens fees, unlimited unaccompanied guest privileges, invitations to all club-sponsored events and 10-day advance tee time reservation privileges.
